About TextKit
TextKit is a free suite of 65+ text utility tools and writing guides. We built it because most online text tools are thin: a widget and a paragraph of generic text, surrounded by ads. We wanted something better — tools that work, paired with writing that actually explains how the tools work, why they matter, and how to use them well.
Our mission
To be the most genuinely useful text-utility site on the web — the one you bookmark because the tools are fast, the explanations are clear, and the content teaches you something you couldn't learn in five seconds elsewhere.
Who we are
TextKit was founded by Muhammad Umair, a writer and editor who has spent years helping creators and businesses communicate more clearly. You can read more on the author page or connect on LinkedIn.
What makes TextKit different
- Every tool comes with a real guide. How-to steps, how-it-works explainers, real use cases, tips, mistakes, and FAQs.
- Original research. We run our own data studies — on Instagram bios, word counts, readability, and more — and publish the results.

- Private by default. Every tool runs entirely in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.
- No dark patterns. No sign-up walls, no surprise limits, no ads plastered over the tool you came to use.
How we make money
TextKit is supported by display advertising. When you see an ad, it's clearly labeled and never placed in a way that hides the tool or the content. We do not sell your data, and we do not run pop-ups, interstitials, or auto-playing video ads. Read our advertising policy for the details.

Every page on TextKit is held to the standards in our editorial policy — original writing, fact-checked claims, named authorship, and clear "last reviewed" dates. If you spot an error or have feedback, we want to hear from you via our contact page.
